Continue South towards the Masai Mara, arriving for lunch.  After lunch, set off on your first game drive looking for the area's abundant wildlife, and return to the Mara Serena Lodge as the sun sets.

Mara Serena Lodge seemingly floats on a sea of savannah. A beautiful pool looks out over the wide plains stretching out before it. The rooms are Masai-influenced in style and extremely comfortable.

DAY 2

DAY 3

MASAI MARA

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. The Masai Mara is one of the world's most abundant wildlife hotspots and a particular stronghold for predators, including lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs.  The reserve is a photographer's paradise, and the open savannahs provide an excellent backdrop to capture your own iconic African image.  Cap off your morning game viewing experience in the Mara with a “Bush Breakfast” by the Mara River Hippo Pools!

During the middle of the day, relax at the lodge and sit by the pool or perhaps lunchtime siesta.  In the afternoon head out on an afternoon game drive.

LAKE ELEMENTAITA

Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast, travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley dominate the landscape. Lunch will be a picnic stop en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the afternoon and head out on a game drive. Known for its birdlife, the park, with the right climatic conditions, offers the possibility to view thousands of flamingoes feeding in the shallow alkaline lake.

While not a large national park, Lake Nakuru is incredibly scenic and has several unique wildlife sightings that make it a worthwhile visit, including good chances of finding black and white rhinos and the endangered Rothschild Giraffe.

DAY 4

DAY 5

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, continue south towards the Tanzania border and then on to Arusha for lunch. After lunch, you will depart Arusha and pass through the Maasai Steppe, filled with picturesque African villages and coffee and banana plantations.  Arrive at Tarangire National Park, enter the park, and begin exploring with a game drive as you slowly make your way to the lodge arriving for dinner.

Tarangire is most famous for its giant baobabs, a network of swamps, and large herds of elephants rumoured to be the largest population in Tanzania. It is less known for a yearly secret migration where masses of wildlife are drawn to the Tarangire River during the dry season as it remains the last viable water source for miles.
