DAY 1
TIMBAVATI GAME RESERVE
On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met by your guide from Simbavati River Lodge who will drive you into the Timbavati Reserve and to your lodge.
Settle into your lodge and your beautiful river-facing room, home for the next two nights. After lunch and perhaps an afternoon siesta, head out for your first game drive. The Timbavati offers some of Africa's best wildlife viewing and is home to the big five and is a great place to see the endangered wild dog.

TIMBAVATI GAME RESERVE
Enjoy twice daily game drives, including early morning game drives and and late afternoon game drives searching for wildlife against a setting sun. Return to camp at night where the nocturnal animals start to stir. Your guide will have a spotlight to help you fine some of the species that occur after dark.

DAY 2
DAY 3
TIMBAVATI GAME RESERVE - WALKING SAFARI
Enjoy a morning game drive before returning to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast. After breakfast you will be transferred to Simbavati Trails Camp for your 3 nights off grid living in a remote and intimate bush camp deep in the Timbavati Game Reserve.
Simbavati Trails Camp is a luxury-yet-back-to-basics walking trails camp. Timbavati Trails Camp is all about guided walks with expert guides, one of the most stimulating and enthralling forms of safari. There is no electricity, WiFi or cell phone reception. Just you, in the heart of an untamed African wildlife wonderland. Hearty and delicious meals are prepared over an open fire by an expert cook. This is real Africa raw and unfiltered.

LAKE ELEMENTAITA
Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast, travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley dominate the landscape. Lunch will be a picnic stop en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the afternoon and head out on a game drive. Known for its birdlife, the park, with the right climatic conditions, offers the possibility to view thousands of flamingoes feeding in the shallow alkaline lake.
While not a large national park, Lake Nakuru is incredibly scenic and has several unique wildlife sightings that make it a worthwhile visit, including good chances of finding black and white rhinos and the endangered Rothschild Giraffe.

DAY 4
DAY 5
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, continue south towards the Tanzania border and then on to Arusha for lunch. After lunch, you will depart Arusha and pass through the Maasai Steppe, filled with picturesque African villages and coffee and banana plantations. Arrive at Tarangire National Park, enter the park, and begin exploring with a game drive as you slowly make your way to the lodge arriving for dinner.
Tarangire is most famous for its giant baobabs, a network of swamps, and large herds of elephants rumoured to be the largest population in Tanzania. It is less known for a yearly secret migration where masses of wildlife are drawn to the Tarangire River during the dry season as it remains the last viable water source for miles.
